Tree trimmers still busy with work from Halloween snowstorm
Then again, we usually don't deal with nearly a foot of snow in October.
"We've been doing nothing but storm work since the October storm hit," Witt said.
That historic storm left hundreds of thousands without power and left the area littered with downed trees. Trimming companies, already backlogged before the snowstorm, are still catching up.
"So at this point, we're probably still four to five weeks behind," said Witt, who added that it may not end anytime soon. He said some trees that looked okay after the storm and now starting to fail.
"People are seeing things now that they haven't seen. There's a lot of stresses in the trees," Witt said. "The after-effects from that storm in October are probably going to play out throughout this whole year."
But what if you've got a tree that's just got to come down right now? Are you just out of luck?
