A customer looking at diamond jewelry at a store in the 1800 block of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard ran off with a ring valued at $2,295. Police obtained a copy of surveillance video from the store.
Two men went into a store in the 5300 block of 45th Street. While one distracted the clerk, the other took a canister of donated money. The clerk was unaware of the theft until he and his boss reviewed surveillance video. The clerk told police the pair live in the area and are in the store all the time.
ANIMAL BITE
A delivery man was bitten by a dog when he dropped off a package at a business in the 200 block of North Narcissus Avenue. The dog was jumping on him and nipping at him, but the man did not realize at first that he'd been bitten. When he saw blood dripping from his hand, he returned to talk with the dog's owner. She said her pet's shots were up to date. The man went to a clinic for treatment, then to the police department to report the incident. Animal Care and Control was notified.
