Glam Slam: Test Drive Tuesday — Hip Barbershop Haircut
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
I was beyond overdue for a haircut…I hadn’t had it cut since around Memorial Day and couldn’t get in with the woman who regularly cuts my hair. I was so desperate, I decided to check out the place my husband goes for his cuts… Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, one of a few retro themed barbershops here in LA.
Floyd’s, which is a hip chain of shops in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Texas, is not your granddad’s barbershop. The music is very loud. There are rock ‘n’ roll posters covering the walls and ceilings… there’s a pool table, and the combined piercings and tattoos of the stylists could give the folks at a Harley convention a run for their money.
BUT… the haircuts for men are only $21.00. It’s $29.00 for women. You don’t need an appointment. I decided to give it a try.
