Burberry Bespoke
The iconic British label Burberry has gone bespoke. Their new Burberry Bespoke service, unveiled in London, allows men and women to design their very own Burberry trenchcoat. Luxury consumers are able to choose fabrics, patterns, designs, cuts and even colors. In addition, they will also be able to scroll through various options in collar styles, cuff straps and mink linings, among others.
You can configure and customize your Burberry Bespoke trench trenchcoat on the Burberry website ( here ) adding in cashmere lining, buttons, different collars and monograms. The completed product will be delivered within four to eight weeks — costing anywhere between $1,888 up to $8,800. The product, which will be put together at Burberry’s factory in Yorkshire will have a tag with a special limited-edition number and be labeled “Bespoke”.
“Down the road, we’ll get into made-to-measure,” Burberry’s chief executive, Angela Ahrendts, told the WSJ . Burberry Bespoke is “the next evolution” for the brand and an indication of where the luxury sector is headed, she says. The customization program will expand to include other products and options, she says.
