Westfield unveils its online shopping strategy
We're not being ripped off in Australia for the price of goods. As is already mentioned, businesses pay some of the highest tenancy rates in the world. Also, most workers don't work on COMMISSION in Australia! We might get awards for reaching sales goals and targets but go to the US and most retail and hospitality runs on commission and tips. They get almost half of our wages and the way things are they are doing it just as tough, maybe tougher than, us. What you imply by saying we get ripped off is suggesting we cut the pay of however many people work in these sectors and make them go into commission and tip based employment. That would put many more people into poverty and onto welfare payments just to make ends meat, then I guess you'd complain that you're paying your taxes to fund welfare. And from experience in dealing with people who complain over money, you probably have enough to live with but want all the latest and greatest tech, clothes and new crap bought out every 3 months. Or you've just gone and bought a house way out of what you can afford.
