The cologne was co-created with perfumer Loc Dong of IFF and developed with Boom! creative development company. It is described as a gourmand leather scent.

Phoenic opens on top notes of blackberries, cognac and a plum suede accord; the heart features dates, dark chocolate, fir balsam and musk; the drydown rests upon cashmere woods, tonka and amber gourmand. The latter accord reveals a whiff of leather.

While this is the debut perfume by Keith Urban, the artist is no novice when it comes to fragrance confessing to being a wearer of a good range of scents,

“I wore Brut, and then I wore Calvin Klein Escape for Men for a long time,” he said. “More recently, it’s been a lot of the Tom Ford scents, as well as Dolce & Gabbana and Dior fragrances.”
