Women are especially depressed about losing their hair as their beauty depends a lot on their hairstyles. Fortunately, hair loss in women typically does not result in complete baldness, as is often the case with men.
“Although hair loss may seem like a major problem among men, women are just as likely to lose or have thinning hair. Most women notice it in their 50s or 60s, but it can happen at any age and for a variety of reasons,” added Bukhari.
According to Bukhari, there are many reasons that cause hair loss. “Women are excessive users of chemicals on their scalps. They use shampoos and conditioners that are based on chemical ingredients, which can weaken the scalp and make it hard to hold on to the hair,” she said, “They also dye their hair way too much. I could never say that they shouldn’t, but they should use less chemical dyes and use more natural resources like Henna for instance.”
I was curious if supplements or any treatments consisting of the female hormone would halt my hair loss. I'm in the early stages, but I know it's caused by DHT, etc., which is just a transformed version of testosterone. Perhaps it could work?
Uhhh No.
For you, you need the testosterone part of it.
Not the Estrogen part, which comes from testosterone...
I suggest you look at the synthesis pathway of estrogen and testosterone.

Oral Contraceptives and Hair Loss
Oral contraceptives, or birth control pills, can cause hair loss. Here's what to know and what to do.
Have you recently started taking the pill (a birth control pill, or oral contraceptive) and noticed that your hair seems to be falling out? It’s not your imagination. Hair loss and hair thinning is one of the occasional side effects of hormonal medication. Here’s the scoop.
Oral contraceptives contain estrogen as well as progestin. Typically, estrogen stimulates hair growth. In fact, many women report that their hair growth increased and their hair got thicker as soon as they started taking an oral contraceptive. On the other hand, some women — especially those whose birth control pills are lower in estrogen — experience hair loss several months after being on oral contraceptives.
What happens is that the drug causes hair in the growing phase (anagen) to be shifted to the resting phase (telogen). After the telogen phase (normally lasting about two to three months), hairs are spontaneously shed before a new growth cycle occurs. Typically, only 10 to 15 percent of a person's hairs are in telogen at any one time, but this can increase to as much as 50 percent when she is taking birth control pills. As a result, large amounts of hair can be shed after the telogen phase. This phenomenon can occur when you start birth control pills or when you switch birth control pills, but it stops when the medication is discontinued or changed to a pill with a significantly different hormone formulation.
Women need Estrogen, but Estrogen levels diminish with age. In the short term, Estrogen's departure leaves most women in a frequently overheated uncomfortable state. In the long term, its exodus places their hearts, bones, and brains in harms way. And conventional hormone replacement therapy,...
